Our philosophy centers on the belief that travel is more than a mere luxury. It is a necessity. We believe this is especially true for women and young girls. Boarding a plane to a far-off land without a husband or boyfriend to hold your hand leaves you vulnerable in a way that is slightly terrifying but even more exhilarating. . . it also frees up your hand so you can grab that in-flight glass of champagne and toast to your bravery!
As young girls, we were taken on trips to far-flung destinations and we realize now that it is this that made all the difference in who we are and how we view the world. We have often looked back on the trips we took in our youth and thought, ”how did we do that?” The answer is quite simple really. We couldn’t say no. We literally were not given the option of saying no . . . and so we went. As grown-ups and grown women in particular, there seems to always be a reason to say no when an opportunity to travel arises. We can think of nothing sadder than a woman who daydreams about seeing the Eiffel Tower or Buckingham Palace but never gets there, for whatever reason.
In short, what we're trying to say is that not only do we agree with that "not all who wander are lost" jazz, but we take it one step further. We believe the wandering is the best part.
“Never did the world make a queen of a girl who hides in houses and dreams without traveling.”
